NO SPRAYS - NO BS
Our produce is grown using natural fertilizer, which consists of a blend of cattle and chicken manure and compost from our farm. No synthetic fertilizers or pesticide chemicals are used. Although we are not certified organic, we utilize organic farming practices with all of our crops.
Our family eats fresh veggies straight from the garden, and we never have to worry about what is going into our bodies.
Vegetables will be sold throughout the summer at the 124 Grand Market and Ottewell Artisan Farmers' Market in Edmonton and Seba Beach Farmers' Market. Farm gates sales and delivery are also available. Please contact us for pricing and availability, and to place orders. We are also pleased to announce that we will be growing cold hardy veggies through out the winter months with our newly acquired greenhouses.

LESSONS LEARNED FROM 2018 SEASON:
Last year’s growing season was a great learning experience for us and we will be implementing some changes this year to provide a better CSA experience for everyone! With our first green house up and running, we will be starting a lot more plants during the winter so when spring arrives we can hit the ground running and have more production early on so we can hopefully have an earlier start to this years CSA.
We have recruited some help with the kids this year so Farmer John can focus more on the farm to hopefully reduce our crop failures, and improve his punctuality on pick-up days!
This year we are planning to have more variety in your weekly shares, and maybe a little less lettuce! A few of the vegetables that we will be adding this year include cucumbers, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, salad turnips, and hopefully corn! We are also planning to increase the amount of storable vegetables so you’re not pressured to use everything within a week to prevent spoilage. We are planning to have the tomatoes ready earlier this year so you don’t have an onslaught of green tomatoes in September. We are also increasing our inventory of row covers and insect netting so we can reduce the amount of pest damage to the vegetables this year.
This year our CSA program will run for 12 weeks again, starting as early as we can (hopefully late June). We will be offering three share sizes , with an egg add on option and a meat option as well. The meat CSA option will be similar to last year with the cuts of meat (beef, chicken, pork) varying week to week. We will be supplying each member with two reusable bags this year that you can bring back every week and have refilled. Your bag will have a name tag on it with your share size and any allergy or food restrictions you might have.
Please contact us if you have any questions, comments or suggestions!
